The pink umbrella is about this young boy Sam. Sam is someone who is excited for his grandma to come, but then he finds out she's grumpy and is ruining is life.
In the end when four bullies came up to rob from him, the grandma saved his life with her neon pink
UMBRELLA.
I think the message is to not judge people so quickly. I think the the grandma thinks it's about time for him to learn to speak Samoan beacause, he is growing up and will soon to speak with other Samoan children.
